Endless amount of candy!

The time has come! SMF1: Candy Edition has arrived, full of tasty new themes, tiles and music!

With a stunning 28 backgrounds to work with, Candy Edition is the first Ver.E SMF1 Edition, meaning you'll have a lot more themes, tilesets, enemies and music to work with, while keeping the simplicity SMF1 is known for!

In case you're unfamiliar with Ver. E, it's an extended version of SMF1 made by Hiro, and it adds a LOT of stuff to SMF1! Even without the ability to use custom backgrounds and custom music, there's a lot of things to work with in this version and its editions in the future.

In Candy Edition, you'll find... well, a lot of candy themed stuff, of course! You can create vanilla levels, donut bridges over syrup lakes, a level entirely made of flowers (there are plenty of flowers!), have the player go on a journey through a beehive, celebrate Christmas, mix up cheese with Oreo's... or bake a huge cake in the sky! And all of that can be done in 15 different themes to choose from, with most themes having several backgrounds too. The themes include:

  1. Candy Overworld
  2. Candy Mountains
  3. Honey Forest
  4. Candy Castle
  5. Christmas
  6. Candy Galaxy
  7. Cheese Hills
  8. Syrup Underground
  9. Sugar Hills
  10. Cloudy Sky
  11. Candy Cartoon
  12. Sugar Fields
  13. Choco Skies
  14. Syrup Sea
  15. Candy Factory
So, what are you waiting for? Check out and get level making in this new edition right here!

If you find any problems, like tiling cut-offs, feel free to let me know on my Level Palace profile or in the SMF1: Candy Edition comment section (you can find it at the bottom of the page). I'll try to fix them in a future update! For now, have fun in this delicious new edition!

New Tutorial: Airship Tiling!

10/29/2016

Yeah, it's been over 2 months since the latest article, but there's finally something new! This guide will tell you how to tile airship tiles correctly in the original Super Mario Flash 2. There are 1000s of airship levels, but bad airship tiling is quite a common issue. This guide however, will tell how to tile airship correctly, which is great for beginners. When reviewing a level, you can just link to this guide without having to write it all yourself in your review over and over again. Plus, it's a very detailed guide as well, going over everything the airship tileset has really quick!

Check out the guide by clicking here!

While we are talking about guides, I have also updated the custom music guide because the last SMF2 updates have changed how it works a little bit. The buttons on the homepage of my website have also changed; the Forum and News button have been replaced with something that has more priorety at the moment (Guides + my Level Palace profile).

That's it for today! And probably for another while too. :P

Some more website updates!

Just 9 days have passed, but I did some updates to the site again!

First off all, on the SMF page, there are now buttons that lead you to user-created levels made in my SMF games that are hosted on Level Palace. If you uploaded a level to that site, you will find your level on the list too!

Next, the help page also got a few edits, but mainly just fixed a few grammar errors. Soon, you can also find help on how to use custom music on the help section.

And lastly, the custom music tutorial should be out soon! After that, I also plan on making a tutorial on SMF2: Jungle Edition to make level making in this game easier. Talking about Jungle Edition, just like Crash Bandicoot Edition, there will soon be extra backgrounds available since a lot of new tilesets got added in the new update.

That's it for today!

A few website updates

Hey all, just letting you know that I did a few small changes to the website. First of all, you may have noticed this already - I changed the favicon of the website! The old one was pretty... well, old, so I changed it to a 1-up Mushroom. Doesn't look bad, does it?

Next, the forum has been tweaked a little, instead of there being 2 forums for both SMF related topics, there is now one main board for SMF and the other board is now General/Off-topic, where you can basically talk about anything you want! However, please still follow the forum rules (they can be found on the forums under General > Forum Rules.

There are also new buttons on the Home Page for quick access to other pages, one that leads to my Custom Backgrounds on imgur, and also a News button that lead to this page.

Talking about my CBG's, clicking on the BACKGROUNDS button on the website toolbar will now lead you to all my CBG albums instead of just the standard one.
